Seapal Vallarta's water quality certification renewed for 35th consecutive year
The certification, awarded by Jalisco's Commission for Protection Against Sanitary Risks (COPRISJAL), guarantees the water is safe for human consumption
In a historic achievement that reaffirms the quality of its services, SEAPAL Vallarta renewed its Certification for the Sanitary Condition of its Water Supply and Quality System for Human Use for the 35th consecutive year. This certification, awarded by the Commission for Protection against Sanitary Risks of the State of Jalisco (COPRISJAL), solidifies its position as a national leader in the field.
Mayor Luis Munguía stated that this achievement marks a new era for the organization, emphasizing that SEAPAL is now working with a clear direction and vision to address the historical backlog in water production. He acknowledged the efforts of the technical and operational staff and reiterated the importance of continuing along this path, strengthening investment and actions to guarantee quality services for the community.
For his part, SEAPAL's General Director, Carlos Ruiz, stated that this certification is a source of pride for all residents of Puerto Vallarta, as it is a distinction the organization has held for over three decades. SEAPAL is also the only public entity in Jalisco to possess this certification and one of the few nationwide.
To achieve this renewal, SEAPAL Vallarta fully complied with the Official Mexican Standards NOM-179-SSA1-2020, NOM-230-SSA1-2002, and NOM-127-SSA1-2021, ensuring that the distributed water meets the established physicochemical and bacteriological conditions for human use and consumption.
This achievement also translates into added value for Puerto Vallarta as a tourist destination, generating confidence among national and international visitors, who can be assured of consuming water with high standards of quality and safety.
Similarly, the organization obtained the renewal of this certification in the town of Las Palmas and in the Ecoterra subdivision, reaffirming its commitment to offer reliable and quality services both in the urban area and in the rural communities of the municipality.
