SEAPAL Oversees Progress on Works in Marina Vallarta
The rehabilitation of the sanitary sewer network is 90% complete and will optimize the infrastructure and wastewater collection in one of the municipality's most dynamic areas
To verify the progress and scope of the comprehensive intervention being carried out by SEAPAL in Marina Vallarta, a supervisory visit was made to the sanitary sewer network rehabilitation and treated water network expansion works underway in this residential development.
Currently, the sanitary sewer rehabilitation project is 90% complete and includes the replacement of 163 linear meters of pipe, mostly 20 inches in diameter, on Albatros Street, between Pelícanos and Paseo de la Marina Norte. This modernizes infrastructure that has reached the end of its useful life and strengthens the system's capacity to meet the growing demand in this important tourist and residential area.
During the tour, it was emphasized that these works are part of the ongoing strategy to continue renewing priority infrastructure, preventing incidents, and ensuring more efficient services for residents, businesses, and visitors of Puerto Vallarta.

It was also reported that once the work on the sanitary sewer system is completed, the second phase of the project will begin, which involves expanding the purple line for treated water. This expansion will take place along the same roadway, between Avenida Francisco Medina Ascencio and Gaviotas.
With the expansion of the treated water network, the agency will continue to strengthen the use of reclaimed water for activities such as watering green areas and common spaces, helping to preserve a greater quantity of potable water for human consumption, especially during the dry season and in the face of the challenges posed by Puerto Vallarta's growth.
