Representatives from Public Safety and Municipal Transit, the ALE Strategy, Crime Prevention, the Community Building and Culture of Participation Management, and the Directorate of Quality of Life and Social Development participated in the working group.
As part of these efforts, neighborhood coordinators were invited to receive information and training on issues of violence against women, public safety, and crime prevention, with the goal of strengthening support and assistance to residents of Puerto Vallarta's neighborhoods.

The coordinators were also invited to identify, together with neighborhood leaders, the main problems, crimes, or administrative offenses affecting their communities.
During her remarks, the director of the Municipal Institute for Women (IMM) emphasized the importance of collaborative work between authorities and the community to reduce risks and situations of violence, especially against women. She also announced that the creation of "Purple Networks," a strategy focused on addressing and preventing gender-based violence, will soon be launched.
She added that these actions will be carried out in coordination with the ALE Strategy, Crime Prevention, and Civil Protection and Fire Departments, in order to address and reduce risk situations for the general population.

For his part, the commissioner and director of Municipal Public Safety and Transit acknowledged the fundamental role of the neighborhood coordinators, noting that they are people close to the community and trusted by residents, which allows for more effective dissemination of information and preventative measures.
Finally, the director of the IMM PV thanked Commander Elena Argentina Huitzilihuitl Martínez Caro for the training provided to the coordinators, and reiterated that combined efforts will be key to achieving better results for the benefit of Puerto Vallarta.
The official emphasized that this meeting represents the beginning of a comprehensive strategy that will involve both municipal agencies and the community, and assured that authorities will maintain a constant presence in the neighborhoods to strengthen community work.
