Two Suspected Murderers in PV Remain in Pretrial Detention
They are being investigated for the recent death of a man found in the Volcanes neighborhood
For their alleged involvement in the aggravated homicide of a man in early May in the municipality of Puerto Vallarta, Juan Ernesto “N” and Luis Ernesto “N” have been formally charged.
According to the investigation, the events occurred on May 7th on the streets of the Brisas del Pacífico neighborhood, when the alleged perpetrators physically assaulted the victim.
The investigation indicates that Juan Ernesto “N” allegedly used a metal pipe to beat the victim, while Luis Ernesto “N” apparently held him down to prevent him from defending himself or escaping.
The alleged assailants then loaded the unconscious body into the bed of a red pickup truck to flee the scene. A day later, the victim's body was found in the Volcanes neighborhood.

Following the crime, the Public Prosecutor's Office assigned to the Regional Investigation Deputy Prosecutor's Office in Puerto Vallarta opened an investigation, identified the suspects, and requested arrest warrants.
During the hearing after the charges were filed, both individuals were formally charged with aggravated homicide and will remain in pretrial detention for one year, as requested by the prosecution.
With this ruling, the State Prosecutor's Office reaffirms its technical and human commitment to solving crimes. The investigation will continue to clarify the facts.
