Uber Protects Users with Mandatory PIN During the World Cup

For two months, the use of a security PIN will be mandatory to request rides in Puerto Vallarta and Guadalajara

As a way to reinforce the safety of users and drivers during the coming weeks, the Uber platform has implemented the mandatory use of a security PIN for all trips booked through the app.

This way, upon boarding the vehicle, the user must share their PIN with the driver to ensure they have boarded the correct vehicle.

The measure has been implemented in Guadalajara, Puerto Vallarta, Mexico City, Monterrey, Cancún, and Los Cabos, cities expected to see an increase in tourists due to the World Cup.
