Army deploys 200 personnel to reinforce security across PV

Troops will patrol the entire municipality, with a strategic presence in tourist areas and neighborhoods to deter crime

In coordination with authorities from the 41st Military Zone and the Municipal Government, 11 tactical vehicles and 200 members of the Mexican Army, belonging to the Ministry of National Defense, arrived in Puerto Vallarta this Tuesday to reinforce security in the municipality through prevention, patrols, and permanent surveillance.

The City Council Secretary reported that the troops will be deployed throughout the territory, with a special focus on neighborhoods and a strategic presence in the tourist zone to deter potential criminal activity.

He added that, unlike previous temporary operations such as those during Holy Week, these personnel will remain permanently in the city, with the aim of improving the perception of security and strengthening public confidence following the events of recent weeks.
