Municipal Women's Institute and Municipal Police Receive Specialized Certifications

Services for women experiencing violence strengthened with specialized certifications to municipal staff

Staff from the Municipal Women's Institute and the Municipal Police, responsible for addressing cases of violence against women in Puerto Vallarta, received five specialized certifications under the EC 0539 standard of the CONOCER system. These certifications are designed to strengthen first-contact care for victims with a gender perspective, ensuring quality service and respect for human rights.

These actions are part of a strategy to strengthen staff capabilities through training and certification processes, prioritizing more effective and sensitive care in situations of gender-based violence.

The director of the Municipal Women's Institute explained that the accreditations strengthen the knowledge and skills of those providing this service, promoting specialized action for the detection, care, and support of women experiencing violence.

A total of five certifications were awarded: four to staff from the Municipal Women's Institute and one to members of the Municipal Police. Authorities indicated that they will continue to promote these types of professionalization processes to consolidate gender-sensitive care in the municipality.
