Women's Rights Groups Call for March Against Violence Against Women in PV

The event will take place on May 24th at 5 pm at the entrance of Plaza La Isla

The 50+1 Puerto Vallarta Collective has called on citizens to join the March Against Violence Against Women this coming Sunday, May 24th.

The mobilization seeks to raise awareness and demand a municipality, a state, and a country where women can live freely, safely, and without fear. This comes after the discovery of three women murdered in the municipality in recent weeks.

The demonstration will begin at the entrance of Plaza La Isla at 5:00 PM and will proceed along Avenida Medina Ascencio to Parque de las Mujeres (Women's Park), located on the Libramiento (bypass). Participants are asked to wear a purple scarf and white, lilac, or purple clothing.
