Jalisco Health Department calls for increased measles vaccinations for children
More than 3.1 million vaccine doses have been applied since April 2025
For safeguarding the health of the child population, the Jalisco Health Department (SSJ) is calling on parents and guardians to visit vaccination centers in the coming days to complete their children's vaccination schedule.
Immunization efforts are taking place at health centers, medical units, and strategic locations to facilitate access to the vaccine, which is free and part of the basic immunization schedule.
The public is encouraged to check their vaccination records and complete any outstanding vaccinations.
Thanks to the preventive measures implemented and the coordinated work between education and health authorities, there are currently no reports of schools having suspended in-person activities or transitioned to virtual classes due to the presence of the virus.
All schools continue to operate normally, reflecting a controlled and safe environment.
The Director General of Public Health for the Jalisco Health Department (SSJ) reported that, while active cases are decreasing, it is crucial to actively participate in prevention efforts and get vaccinated.
Timely vaccination is the most effective tool for preventing outbreaks and protecting public health.
If you experience symptoms such as fever, cough, runny nose, or skin rash, it is recommended to avoid contact with other people and seek immediate medical evaluation.
To find the nearest vaccination site, you can contact the Jalisco Health Hotline at 33-3823-3220, available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
The Jalisco Health Department reiterates its call to complete the vaccination schedule and not let your guard down in the face of the current outbreak.
