Jalisco reaffirmed its leadership in sports tourism by hosting another edition of the Ultra-Trail World Series (UTMB®) from April 16-18 in Puerto Vallarta, bringing together more than 2,000 national and international runners for one of the world's most important trail running events. The competition, promoted by the State Tourism Secretariat, attracted athletes from various countries and offered routes ranging from 5 to 81 kilometers through jungle, mountain, and beach landscapes, integrating nature, culture, and sport. The event also stood out for a record 35 percent female participation. With a robust tourism infrastructure and iconic locations like the Malecón, Puerto Vallarta is positioning itself as a venue for world-class events, strengthening its global profile and solidifying Jalisco's reputation as a leader in endurance sports.
