Jalisco Ranks Third Nationally in Monthly Formal Job Creation
State continues to solidify its position as one with the highest monthly formal job creation in Mexico, registering 11,264 new jobs in April of this year
According to figures reported by the Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS), the jobs registered in April placed Jalisco third nationally in formal job creation.
These results reflect that the state remains one of the country's main economic drivers and one of the states with the highest access to health services and legally mandated benefits.
Nationwide, 23,923 new formal jobs were created in April.

Regarding the total number of workers insured by the Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS), Jalisco remains the second state with the highest number of formal jobs in the country, accounting for 9.1 percent of the national total, which is equivalent to 2,072,796 insured workers.
The Secretary of Economic Development emphasized that these results reflect the coordinated efforts between the Government of Jalisco, the private sector, and academia to strengthen competitiveness and generate more opportunities for the people of Jalisco.
