Jalisco's economy grows 2.6 times faster than the national average

In 2025, Jalisco's economic activity grew by 1.44 percent, a performance exceeding the national average

The State Government is committed to a state economic policy that creates the conditions to boost investment, strengthen micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs), and promote competitiveness.

As evidence of its commitment to ensuring the state economy surpasses the national average, the Quarterly Indicator of State Economic Activity (ITAEE)—which measures the economic growth of the states—showed that Jalisco grew at more than double the national rate.

In cumulative terms during 2025, Jalisco registered growth of 1.44 percent compared to the national average of 0.56 percent; that is, a performance 2.6 times higher than the national average.

The ITAEE is an index that measures the quarterly economic growth of the states, just as the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) does annually, and Jalisco remains one of the most competitive and economically healthy economies in the country.

The State Government maintains close ties with the private sector to further consolidate Jalisco as a dynamic state that is a key driver of the Mexican economy and positions itself as an oasis of opportunity in the country.
