Jalisco Government activates "We'll Take You Today" tourist mobility plan for tourists
The plan will offer 2,000 free rides, valued at 200 pesos each, for tourists and emergency response teams
With the goal of integrating institutional efforts in mobility, visitor services, and tourism operations, the strategy includes the operational collaboration called "We'll Take You Today," which provides 2,000 free rides in the Guadalajara Metropolitan Area and Puerto Vallarta.
This initiative will incentivize tourism and support the operation of emergency response teams, comprised of security personnel, civil protection staff, and medical personnel.
A collaboration agreement was also signed, focusing on promoting the destination by showcasing Jalisco's attractions, points of interest, and tourism content.
Codes for the free rides will be distributed directly to tourists and emergency responders. The program includes a total of 2,000 rides, each valued at up to 200 pesos and limited to one trip per account. If the fare exceeds this amount, the user will only pay the difference.
The Ministry of Tourism will allocate 500 codes to Puerto Vallarta and 500 to Guadalajara for distribution among customer service teams. Similarly, 500 codes will be given to the Puerto Vallarta hotel association and an additional 500 to hotels in Guadalajara, so that these benefits can reach visitors through registration desks and information booths.
Furthermore, to promote the destination, Uber's digital channels, with reach in national and international markets, will be used, and the participation of drivers registered on the platform in programs offered by the Ministry will be encouraged.
This aims to increase their knowledge of local offerings and improve the quality of service.
The alliance is part of a plan to revitalize and modernize tourism mobility in the state, with actions aimed at resolving bottlenecks and optimizing transfers.
The approach proposes that transportation infrastructure reach the level of hotel and technological development, in line with the demands of international tourism. The creation of meeting points for digital platforms will expand access to the service.
