Program unveiled for the 20th International Folk Dance Festival (FESTVA)
Festival will take place from May 1st to 9th, featuring 1,200 dancers
Details of the program for the 20th International Folk Dance Festival (FESTVA) were announced, promising to fill Puerto Vallarta with color, music, and dance.
The event is made possible thanks to the support of the Municipal Government, solidifying its position as one of the destination's most representative cultural events.
The opening ceremony will be held on May 4th at 6:00 p.m. on the Malecón, with a parade starting from the Sheraton Hotel and ending at Los Arcos. Groups from Mexico, Colombia, Costa Rica, and other countries will participate.
Councilwoman and President of the City Council's Committee on Culture and Cultural Rights emphasized that this festival is the result of effort, dedication, and a passion for preserving traditions.
For his part, the organizer, Antonio Salcedo Padilla, expressed his gratitude for the support of the municipality and the various participating agencies.
The performances are free of charge, except for two shows at the Vallarta Theater on May 3, which will have a 200-peso admission fee.
As part of the program, the "Flavors of the World" event will also take place on May 8 at the Emiliano Zapata Market, featuring the participation of five countries.
