Aztec Eagles Conquer the Skies of PV Once Again

Precision crosses, inverted flights, and smoke trails over the bay captivated thousands of attendees during the city's anniversary celebrations.

For the second consecutive year, the Aztec Eagles returned to the skies of Puerto Vallarta during the city's anniversary festivities, thanks to the collaboration between the Mexican Air Force and the municipal government.

Families and visitors enjoyed the air show of the T-6C Texan II aircraft on the Malecón, whose maneuvers drew applause and expressions of amazement.

In close formation, the six aircraft of Air Squadron 402 and their 12 crew members performed crosses, inverted flights, barrel rolls, and synchronized turns that drew figures in the Vallarta sky. Among the most applauded moments were the "Eagles' Goal" maneuver, presented as part of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, as well as the fan breaks that left long trails of smoke over the bay.

As the show progressed, the pilots demonstrated the high level of training that characterizes the Mexican Air Force. Some maneuvers were executed at speeds exceeding 500 kilometers per hour, showcasing the discipline, coordination, and confidence necessary to perform this type of aerial operation.

The event also brought the work of the Armed Forces closer to the public, highlighting the history of the Aztec Eagles, officially recognized in 2025 as the Mexican Air Force's aerobatic squadron, as well as the participation of female pilots within its ranks, who were applauded by the attendees.

At the end of the show, the mayor presented an award to the members of the Aztec Eagles aerobatic team. Afterward, the Fifth Military Region Band entertained the crowd with a repertoire for everyone, while the "Traditions" folk group provided the grand finale to the celebration.
