Rotary Club delivers wheelchairs to DIF Vallarta users

Users of the Comprehensive Care Program for People with Disabilities (PAID) received the donation

This Friday, through the Rotary Club of Puerto Vallarta South, sixty wheelchairs were delivered to vulnerable individuals enrolled in the Program for People with Disabilities (PAID) of the Municipal DIF System.

The donation was made possible through a partnership between the social welfare institution, the private sector, and Rotary Club volunteers who joined this worthy cause. The DIF program and the Wheelchair Foundation coordinated the research, assessment, and follow-up efforts.

Mr. Miguel Ángel Melchor, a beneficiary of the program, expressed his gratitude for the wheelchair, which will improve his quality of life and provide him with greater mobility. “My chair was already very old, I am very happy, I am very pleased that there are people like this who do this altruistic work, I am very grateful for the donation of the chair because I really needed it,” he commented.
