PV to host production of “Mujeres Valientes”
The film industry will seek to strengthen the local economy by hiring local talent, services, and suppliers
Puerto Vallarta continues to solidify its position as an attractive destination for the audiovisual industry with the filming of the series “Mujeres Valientes" (Brave Women). The production will feature iconic locations such as the Malecón (boardwalk), beaches, the Mirador de la Cruz viewpoint, hotels, and local businesses, aiming to showcase the beauty and essence of the destination.
The series will consist of 20 standalone episodes focused on female empowerment. Filming will take place in Puerto Vallarta, Guadalajara, Tequila, Tapalpa, Zapotlanejo, and Guachimontones, with support from the Filma Jalisco program.
Paco Solares, general producer of “Brave Women,” thanked the Municipal Government for its support and highlighted the authorities' willingness to facilitate filming. Alejandro Tavares, director of Filma Jalisco, noted that these productions boost film tourism and announced that negotiations are already underway to bring new film productions to Puerto Vallarta in 2027.
