El Jorullo designated as PV's eighth Municipal Delegation
Residents and ejido authorities had been advocating for this request for years due to the region's population and tourism growth
The community of El Jorullo took another step in its development by officially becoming Puerto Vallarta's eighth municipal delegation, following the City Council's approval in a session to elevate its administrative category. With this decision, the municipal government consolidates orderly growth in the southern part of the municipality.
This is the last elevation contemplated within the current administration's territorial restructuring. Thus, El Jorullo joins Las Juntas, Las Palmas, Las Mojoneras, Ixtapa, El Pitillal, El Colorado, and Mismaloya.

The mayor stated in an ordinary session that this measure strengthens territorial organization and will allow for closer attention to the communities in the region.
The proposal responds to years of requests from residents and ejido authorities regarding the growth of El Jorullo and its surroundings, an area with an environmental vocation oriented towards sustainability and rural-urban balance.
