Puerto Vallarta is strengthening its health services with specialized training provided by the Jalisco Health Secretariat to COMUSIDA Puerto Vallarta staff, as part of the actions promoted by the municipal government to improve care for citizens.
The activities took place at the Ambulatory Center for the Prevention and Care of AIDS and Sexually Transmitted Infections (CAPASITS) in Puerto Vallarta, where psychologist Miriam Elizeth Pérez Flores, a specialist from the Jalisco Health Secretariat, led the workshop “Adherence, Counseling, and Testing Applications,” focused on reinforcing comprehensive care for users.

During the training session, staff updated their knowledge on key topics such as counseling, focused on providing humane, empathetic, and professional care, as well as the proper handling of rapid tests and the correct application of reagents to obtain more reliable and timely diagnoses.
Strategies related to medication adherence were also addressed, with the aim of supporting individuals to continue their treatments appropriately and improve their quality of life.
