PROJAL Delivers Financing to PV Businesses

600,000 Pesos to be Allocated for Working Capital and Equipment Purchases

As part of the efforts to boost businesses in Puerto Vallarta, the first loans of the Economic Stimulus Plan were disbursed through the Jalisco Development Financing Promoter (PROJAL).

These loans, totaling 600,000 pesos, will contribute to stimulating economic activity and preserving jobs by providing liquidity during a peak tourist season.

Among the beneficiaries are six micro-enterprises in the commerce and services sectors, including hotels, restaurants, artisans, and grocery stores—businesses that represent a fundamental part of the local economy.

The General Director of PROJAL emphasized that this financing fulfills the commitment made to the Puerto Vallarta business community.

“Just a few weeks ago, we were here sharing the financing options available through PROJAL to support your businesses. Today we're back to fulfill that commitment and deliver these first 600,000 pesos during a strategic time for you,” stated the head of the agency.

To enable more businesses to access productive financing, a fund of 10 million pesos is available throughout this year or until the allocated resources are exhausted.

As part of this strategy, PROJAL previously conducted a series of training sessions with City Hall staff to equip them with the necessary tools to assist those interested in accessing credit.

PROJAL complemented the loan disbursement with financial education initiatives by offering the conference “What You Should Know Before Applying for a Loan,” presented by the Manager of the Mexican Institute of Finance Executives (IMEF Guadalajara), to 100 business owners from the region.

The working tour concluded with a presentation of credit options for dozens of business owners belonging to the Puerto Vallarta Local Livestock Association.

The disbursement of these initial loans marks the beginning of a strategy promoted by the State Government that allows businesses to access resources to invest and take advantage of the economic growth coming to the region.
