Bara, the FEMSA-owned chain, will invest 400 million pesos and expand to neighborhoods as El Pitillal, Las Juntas, and La Aurora
Tiendas Bara, a discount supermarket chain belonging to FEMSA, announced its arrival in Puerto Vallarta with the support of the municipal government. The chain will make an initial investment of 400 million pesos over the next three years and will create between 600 and 700 direct jobs.
Gabriel Baldini, CEO of Tiendas Bara, explained that the chain will open stores in neighborhoods and districts such as El Pitillal, Las Juntas, La Aurora, and areas near Ramblases. The stores will range from 400 to 500 square meters and will feature parking, security monitoring, and top-notch infrastructure, all focused on offering quality products at affordable prices.
The executive stated that Vallarta was chosen for its growth potential, its dynamic social and economic environment, and the opportunity to bring better commercial options to the neighborhoods. He emphasized that the project is designed for the residents, with a model that prioritizes hiring local staff, especially women.
