Road closures announced for Pride 2026 activities

Restrictions will begin this Sunday, May 17, and continue throughout the week in the downtown and Romantic Zone areas

Municipal authorities announced various road closures for Pride 2026 activities in Puerto Vallarta and recommended that residents take precautions, use alternate routes, and leave early.

On Sunday, May 17, for the March Against Homophobia, from 3:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., the north-south lane of Boulevard Francisco Medina Ascencio will be closed at the intersection with Avenida Las Américas; the center lane will be closed at the intersection with Calle Perú; and Avenida México will be closed from San Salvador to Venezuela. As an alternate route south, Calle Perú will remain open to connect with Morelos.

Starting at midnight on Tuesday, May 19, closures will begin for the Block Party event on Constitución Street, from Aquiles Serdán to Venustiano Carranza, and Lázaro Cárdenas Street, from Insurgentes to Pino Suárez, without affecting traffic on Ignacio L. Vallarta and Insurgentes.

On Thursday, May 21, starting at 5:00 a.m., truck access to the city center will be restricted via Honduras and Perú Streets. Later, during the Pride Parade, starting at 2:00 p.m., closures will again be in effect on Francisco Medina Ascencio Street, Perú Street, and México Avenue.

Finally, for the Drag Derby event scheduled for Friday, May 22, Púlpito Street will be closed from Amapas to Olas Altas, with Pilitas Street serving as an alternate route.
