Garbage collection workers go on strike
Collection Service Remains Suspended Until Further Notice
This Friday, municipal government sanitation workers began a strike at the transfer station to demand agreed-upon overtime pay and bonuses, as well as the acquisition of new trucks—conditions that the Puerto Vallarta city council has yet to meet.
This action comes just six weeks after the municipality resumed garbage collection services, following the concession of Red Ambiental.
The workers continue to call for dialogue with the municipal government to resolve their demands and restore service as soon as possible.
